ThePalaceMuseum
SHANJIXIANGwasborninBeijingin1954.HereceivedhisdoctoratedegreeinUrbanPlanningandDesignfromtheSchoolofArchitecture,TsinghuaUniversity,andstudiedinJapanfrom1980to1984.AfterhisreturntoChina,Dr.ShanheldseveralpostssuchasdeputydirectorofBeijingMunicipalAdministrationofCityPlanning,directorofBeijingMunicipalAdministrationofCulturalHeritage,directorofBeijingMunicipalCommissionofUrbanPlanning,anddirectoroftheStateAdministrationofCulturalHeritage.SinceJanuaryof2002,Dr.ShanhastakenuppositionsofdirectorofthePalaceMuseum,researchfellowofthePalaceMuseum,directorofChinaCulturalRelicsAcademy,andvicechairmanofChinaBuildingDecorationAssociation.
ZHANGGUANGWENwasbornin1949.HegraduatedfromtheDepartmentofChineseLanguageandLiteratureoftheRenminUniversityofChina.Since1978,hehasservedinthePalaceMuseumandheisnowaresearchfellowthere.Hehasbeenspecializinginculturalrelicsmanagementandantiquehandicraftsresearchworkforalongperiodoftime.HisacademicresearchinterestscoverjadewarefeaturesindifferentperiodsoftheQingDynasty,evaluationoftheproductionperiodofjadeware,andcolloquialexplanationsofancientjadewareculture.
